Of the age where this is a staple in my supplement routine. Affordable price. It has more convenient directions than some calcium pills. Easier to take. But still large pills so you need more liquid to get them down. Better than some though.

If you are looking for the best calcium and vitamin D supplement as advised by your physician, this may be the one you want. Read the label carefully as all calcium tablets available are certainly not the same even if it is another Citracal product. The slow release 1200 is taken 2 caplets once daily! Citracal also makes a 1200 mg NOT slow release and is taken 2 caplets twice a day. I made this mistake, thinking what could be the difference other than lower price only to discover my lab resulted in a below desired level for calcium. In my case I just did not consistently get 2 caplets in twice a day. These slow release are still very large and not simple to swallow but managable and provided what was needed. Always ask your physician but I found these to be perfect and also strongly recommended by my MD. No after taste or odors. Plenty of D3 in the daily dose as well.

I take them on an empty stomach in the morning, with no issues. Although, some have mentioned that they experience slight distress when taking these on an empty stomach, I never have. If one does, take the pills with food. I now have these on my Subscribe and Save list, and receive a few bottles every month or so.If you want to be strong and tall, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, I recommend these tablets.
