Worth the cost – Useful product
This was $5 when I ordered, and absolutely with the price. It key is the food pellets from being sucked into the filter before my fish can eat them. Other reviews said that the section doesn’t work—it came off after i first installed it, but I simply stuck it on more firmly and haven’t had any issues since.It’s not something I would’ve thought to buy, but I’m glad it came up in my other tank accessory search.It’s a great size for my 5.5gallon tank. It doesn’t detract from the look of the tank at all. And my fish seems to like the convenience be is provided at feeding time. She’ll go swim under the hoop when I get close to the tank.UPDATED TO ADD: After a little more time with this hoop, the suction is problematic. It comes off regularly. I still think it deserves the 5 stars and is worth the cost. It’s easy to stick the suction back on when it comes off. Is a small nuisance in an otherwise good product.

Perfect feeding ring for my betta!
After reading some of the reviews about the suction cup not working, I was on the fence about ordering this feeding ring for my betta. Since it was reasonably priced, I decided to bite the bullet and order it, and we’re both (me AND Ozzy, my betta) so happy I did! He can now eat in peace without having to chase his food all over the tank. It’s become our routine for him to wait by the ring at his feeding times. He has to struggle against the current a bit in his 5 gallon tank anyway, so I wanted him to have some break from that, and this feeding ring provided that. The size is perfect, it was easy to attach and start using. It would be nice to have a choice is colors, but black is ok. It’s been a few weeks in and so far no issues with the suction cup. We each give it 2 thumbs, and two fins, up! 😊🐟

Feeding ring is great, leaf hammocks not so much
The feeding ring does as advertised. Very useful in keeping food from going all over the tank. I ordered the feeder + 2 leaf hammocks and the leaf hammocks are garbage. The material is a plastic-like fabric and they do not stay upright, no matter how much I try to bend and manipulate them upwards. They just fall down and I can’t see my betta being able to rest on it.

I bought this feeding ring for my 10 gallon betta fish tank, so the food would be easier for him to find and wouldn’t fall into his plants, as I have two bubblers that would definitely make feeding time challenging if I didn’t have this feeding ring.The suction isn’t great, especially as tank water tends to evaporate, which lowers the water level of aquarium. As the water level drops, so does the efficacy of the suction cup. I find myself having to reattach the suction cup every week or so, as it comes off and starts floating in the tank at least once a week.This isn’t a huge hardship though, as it takes about two seconds to reattach a suction cup, and it’s definitely worth it to have a feeding ring for my betta. You might be able to find a ring with better suction somewhere else, but in my opinion it’s almost a necessary purchase to get one if you have a bigger tank, or more than one fish.The durability/quality of the feeding ring isn’t great, either, it’s kind of floppy and just looks cheaply made. So be careful with it, and don’t let it get crushed by heavy decorations if you’re moving things out of a tank for cleaning or a water change. But other than that, this has been a great purchase for me and my betta fish.

I like that the suction cup stays attached to the aquarium. I also like that there is a float bar that holds the ring and lets it adjust with the water level. It’s a great value for your money and it functions quite well. The color is fine and it’s easy to use. I think it’s a little too small for my betta who prefers a simple ring made of air piping.. I’m basically using it to keep some of the new duckweed in check. Maybe if this would have been introduced first he would prefer it over the clear, bigger ring!It’s still a great Implement for your beta. They’re very curious and love to have new things in their environment.

Before I got this, my fish food would constantly be swept up into the filter system. With this feeding ring in place, I am able to feed my fish and not have to worry about if they got enough food or not because it remains in the same spot. My fish actually recognize that the ring means food will be there and they will hover by it during their normal feeding times. I’ve had it for over two years now and it’s kept up completely.
