Much Stronger than Apple Original Mag. charger when using iPhone without sleeve
I was using a vent mount that uses original Apple Magnetic Charger. But when I stoped using iPhone sleeves and started using minimal protection with built in Magnet iPhones was not holding strong on the original charger magnet particularly in Landscape mode. This one is much more stronger and hold the iPhone without sleeve in any orientation It also charges well and I am so far happy with ether quality. Also pertly fits and clamps safely onto the air vents (RAM 1500) .

Stable Design with Smooth Movement, but Power Supply Not Included
This car mount charger attaches very securely to my vent, so there’s no concern about it falling off as with other mounts I’ve tried. It has a hook that can be extended/retracted by turning the tightening knob, so once it’s hooked to your vent it’s not going anywhere until you loosen the knob to remove it. The charging mount also has a nice rubberized pad that gently welcomes my phone. The magnet grabs my phone with a dampened feel, so there’s no concern about it damaging my phone with repeated use. I also like that the mount pivots smoothly allowing me to position the preferred angle of my phone, and then holds that position firmly, and the firmness of the pivot can also be adjusted by another knob. It’s also nice that the magnet holds my phone very firmly but also allows me to remove my phone without using a ridiculous amount of force, so there’s no fear of ripping off my vent. They’ve achieved the perfect balance between holding the phone and allowing it to be removed, in this regard.Another nice feature is that when powered on, there’s a soothing, blue ring of light that helps you see where to place your phone in the dark. I did not use the adhesive dash mount, but it appears to be just as secure and the provided bases (1 circular, and 1 rectangular) both have some flex allowing them to match the contour of your dashboard surface. The dashboard mount also makes a nice ratchet click sound when pivoted, and firmly holds the selected angle as well. Perhaps the only negative of this mount is that it comes with a power cord but it does not come with it’s own power supply. Most people already have a power supply of some kind and most cars already have a USB port, but it would be very upsetting to purchase this as your first charger and/or if you have an older car, only to learn that this charger is incomplete. The instructions are also very particular about ensuring that you use the correct power supply in order to safely achieve it’s 15W fast charging capability. So, it would be nice if they eliminated the guess work by providing its preferred power supply. Apart from that, It’s a very nice car mount charger and I am pleased with it so far.

My current magnetic charger in my car finally died after several years of faithful duty. I worried that I wouldn’t find one that was as reliable again. However, after this guy arrived, I was very pleased. It is a normal ring charger that fits perfectly on the apple magsafe phones/cases. I can’t speak to android compatibility unfortunately, as I don’t own one.I tested the charging before even trying to mount it. (Just to be safe). The phone instantly recognizes the charger and starts charging within a second or so from connecting to the charger. So, I felt good about going through the trouble of installation – which turned out to be no trouble at all.As you can see in the photos, literally everything you need for an installation is included. Everything from the alcohol swabs to clean any mounting surface (stick on method), to the template to add a magnetic ring in your case – if you don’t have a magsafe case. Luckily, all I needed was the vent mount for my installation, as the cable was already there.The vent mount is a clamp that ratchets open or closed with a simple twist around the barrel. It has a small u on the back of one of the teeth to grab the back of the vent as well. So now, mine is installed on the vent, and is more sturdy than my previous mount for certain.If you don’t have a workable vent to mount with, the surface mount method and materials are included as well. That will allow you to mount this to any flat surface on your vehicle.I’m very pleased with this guy, and will order this again for my wife’s car very soon!
