A sturdy phone holder – recommend without reservation!
This phone holder arrived quickly and as expected. It’s actually the third one we purchased — this one was a gift since we liked it so much for our own vehicles. We’ve have had several other versions of phone holders that did not suit for one reason or another. This phone holder is really easy to install in one of the car vents without causing any damage — using the attached metal hook and turning a knob on the back to secure it. It’s easy to tip or tilt the phone once engaged on the holder and it does not sway, veer or slowly move from the intended position once set. The “wings” are easy to squeeze to gently hold our Android phones perfectly — and with a quick push of the button on the back of the unit, it releases the “wings” allowing removal of the phone. There is a little u shape in middle of the bottom bumper that the phone rests on, which allows us to plug in a charging cord if needed. The bottom bumper also allows for us to plug in wired earbuds without crimping the cord or having to tip the phone awkwardly to prevent cord issues. We found that if the “wings” are open without a phone in the holder, the holder will chatter a little when we’re driving over bumpy roads, but that is easily solved by squeezing the wings in all the way. The recipient of our recent gift has an iPhone and told us they were also pleased with this phone holder.

Update – it also holds the phone horizontal. It can hold a phone bigger than pixel 8a.This holder is rather secure for my cars vent. I wanted a holder that did not block my view (dash holder) of the road and also hooks on the vent securely. I tried three different types of vent phone holder and this one worked the best for my honda hrv. i use it daily since April 2024 and it has been great! I packed this with me to use in a rental when i traveled to navigate an unfamiliar city and i was satisfied. Once the holder is securely in place in the vent, there is another adjustable section that can position the phone to tilt up or down.

Good for large phones
Ordered few phone holders and this was perfect for the s25 ultra. Other holders froze when maxed out but this one hold large phones WITH case and little bit more room too.Find a good flat spot on dash, use the little stabilizer and it will hold your phone.I don’t like the phone above the dash . It sits right next to the radio dials and not much bounce. You just need to find YOUR spot . It bends and stays bent.

Worthwhile car phone holder
I’ve had this for a couple of years now and it’s the first phone holder that I’ve purchased that has a bending arm which gives the option of hanging over your cars dash, being raised above the dash or hanging from the windshield. It’s very sturdy at the base, it has not slipped or gotten loose since I’ve attached it to my cars dashboard. The 2nd piece that holds the arm in place closer to the phone doesn’t have as strong as an adhesive but once you hold it down for a good couple of minutes you should be fine. This phone holder has a button in the back for releasing the phone and you shut it manually on the sides.Some cons: This is not a charging phone holder but has the space at the bottom to allow you to connect a wire for charging. Also depending on how you set it up, (I chose to make it hang down like in the picture so that it comes down my dash) it can block some features of your car but you can always move it. For example, if you have a rearview camera it can partially block your view on the screen or any of your radio/volume dials. It may feel a bit bulky but you kind of get used to it after a while.Overall I definitely recommend this phone holder. It’s sturdy and has a grip on your phone as you drive. It gets the job done and installs super easy.

Great until it wasn’t
I do a lot of travelling and renting of cars. This small size fit well in my backpack and worked in nearly every car I rented. The on going issue was trying to keep the little angles feet on the bottom of the unit with it. it is designed to turn to easily align it on the vent but that also meant it was easy to fall off and get misplaced. Well, that happened this week. Someplace between getting out of the rental car and getting thru TSA, that little piece disappeared. As the title says “Great until it wasn’t”. now looking for a better, more flexible model that allows movement around the vent.

great idea, great concept but now days phones are big and heavy. if attached to the vents it won’t really work. your vent will move. I was able to attach it to my trim on the A-pillar and made it work. so, if you have a flagship phone I would look into a different mount.
