Installed in my Nissan Sentra for Car Play
Installed in my 2010 Nissan Sentra for Apple Car play. The person who owned the car before me had installed a call button for hands free calling but it no longer worked. I bought one of those step drill bits and made the hole the previous owner had drilled slightly bigger so that the plug would fit. It was a pretty easy install. and works flawlessly with apple car play on my Pioneer head unit. The cap on it is VERY strong once its on there, like so strong it pulls the panel I drilled the hole in away from the car. For that reason I just leave the cap open with my USB to lightning cable plugged in. I thought it may look kind of ugly but it looks pretty good only wish the aux port didn’t have the gold lining since the rest of my buttons are silver/black/gray.

Works with Pioneer head unit
I installed this device into my 2007 Hyundai Entourage minivan as part of an upgrade to a Apple Car Play aftermarket radio. I chose to mount the USB port into the Entourage’s cigarette lighter opening. I had removed the lower section of the center console, where the cigarette lighter is mounted, as part of the radio swap procedure. By removing the lower section, this gave me access to the rear of the console, where the cigarette lighter is mounted. there is a single wiring harness connector that allowed me to disconnect the console assembly and bring it to my work bench.There is a power connector that attaches the cigarette lighter to the larger harness. I disconnected the connector. Try as I might, I could not release the cigarette lighter from the console. I ended up deliberately crushing the cigarette lighter with channel lock pliers. It was easier to crush it after using a hacksaw to free up a couple notches on the lighter.Once crushed, it was easy to remove the lighter, exposing the mounting hole. I then realized the circumference of the hole was smaller than the USB port’s design, which I was expecting. I used a Dramel-type tool to expand the circumference, test-fitting the USB port along the way. Once the device fit the hole, I screwed down the USB’s locking nut.The port now looks factory-installed in the console, which is terrific. The USB port works flawlessly with my apple car play radio. Happy how the job turned out.

Great Value and Quality Materials
I love that this set up comes with all the included hardware to do a true custom install however you want to do it. You can either drill out a spot in your dash or you can use the included mounting bracket. Only thing is this can be a pain to install but that totally depends on your vehicle type and how you’re trying to do the install. Install trouble has nothing to do with the quality of the product.Also, one good thing to point out is that the 3.5mm male headphone connector on this cable is gold plated which provides optimal sound quality with superior connection.This is for sure 5 stars.

Perfect addition my the BT45-Ford
I purchased an in-line BT45-Ford1 bluetooth transceiver for my Ford Sport Trac truck. This pieces connects to it perfectly and works great.I installed mine in the spare button hole on my front console dash (tricky) but it looks and works great. Plenty of cabling to allow relocation of the BT box deep in the dash where there was more room instead of trying to figure out where to stash it in relative proximity to the jacks.It would have been handy for the adapter head to have been a little smaller and shave some plastic for a smaller mounting diameter, but this works and looks great.

Durable build
I wish I had a photo of this. Unfortunately, I no longer have the car. I installed this on back of the center console on a 2010 Kia Forte for Uber. Everyone loved it! I’d keep a tri-charger with it and the aux cord alone made me a good bit of money the first night in tips! It’s east to install and felt almost factory. A simple hole saw was the only took I used. Just make sure you line it up! Unfortunately, aux cords on phones are becoming less and less common but this is still a great product nevertheless and comes with all the accessories to mount how you see fit!

EDIT 10/3/22:I gave this product a 3 star review when I first hooked it up to my Pioneer receiver, because it had issues connecting to my iPhone Carplay, and also had issues connecting to my Sansa 64GB Micro USB Thumb Drive. After some experimentation, it turns out that my USB Thumb Drive was the culprit, and that Carplay is just generally picky. Once I switched to an Apple brand lightning cable, the Carplay issues resolved themselves as well.This port has worked well with my Pioneer DMH-1770 NEX receiver. Would buy again.
