Good value
Used on a cheap chest freezer and works as intended. No bells and whistles – just a continuous temperature display. Magnetic display sticks well.

5/5
Used this for my fish tanks and it’s accurate and works well! Easy to use

Simple and accurate, but cord is thick (not great for freezers)
Pros:- Temperature readings match calibrated thermapen within thermapen’s tolerance.- Uses regular easy to find and cheap AAA batteries. This is reason alone to buy it as coin cells quickly cost more than the unit!- Display is large/clear enough for old eyes to see across the room.- Feature (min/max) work as expected- Works well as a remote sensor for aquariums, greenhouses, and outside air hanging out a window.Cons- Thick cable leaks cold from upright fridge/freezer. Put sensitive part of face up to cable passing under door seal, and you’ll feel significant cold air draft if your fridge/freezer has a circulation fan. While the freezer might keep up, its significantly increasing energy consumption and shortening the compressor life. Use in a chest freezer (without forced fan) seems to leak much less cold air. There is also no frost buildup right around cable inside the freezer indicating little air leak.- No alarms. A high or low alarm would be desired if a fridge/freezer is too warm, or a greenhouse/aquarium is too cold.

Excellent for measuring temperature in tight places
I needed a device to help me measure the temperature of my water heater. Although the water heater thermostat has a setting, over time it became out of balance and began to heat much more than its set point. This caused the water to boil with its respective negative consequences. Now after changing the thermostat, I can check the temperature of the heater with this device, which is very user-friendly in its use, installation and operation, as well as accurate. I highly recommend it for these uses.

Works Great
Great ValueWorks GreatAccurateI bought 4 of these for me and 4 for my grown kids. We are usually affected by 2-3 hurricanes a year. If the power goes out, these are attached to my refrigerators and freezers. I want to know if my perishable foods might be reaching the danger temperature (over 40° in the fridge or greater than 32° in the freezer). If so, I can take them out and ice down in coolers.Yeah I know, I should buy a generator.I did the ice water test to test the accuracy. It registered 32.4°, so I am happy with the accuracy.

Disappointed
We ordered the HATUSOKU Digital Thermometer believing that the product was manufactured in Japan. I also expected that with a MIN/MAX feature, those values could be set by consumer. WRONG on both accounts. The MIN/MAX feature of this product appears to be that it is a preset internal calculation that relies on the current measured temperature. What good is that? To what purpose is it to see arbitrary values displayed that have no relevance? More importantly, the included literature is concise as far as manipulating the device but inaccurate in that the MIN/MAX option is dependent upon the probe’s currently recorded temperature & a predetermined calculation. I can find NO option for setting the MIN/MAX values manually and I might just want more than a 3-to-4 degree range between minimum and maximum temperatures. So, what did I get for my money? I basically received a temperature probe attached by cable to an external digital display head that can display either English or Metric temperature scale readings. The probe cable is run between the door sealant strips but can allow cold air to escape. The loss of cold air from a sealed system increases operational costs while diminishing efficiency of the operation. The electronics can add and subtract a couple of degrees from recorded temp & display those calculations as a “minimum” and “maximum” value, but, again, where and what is the relevance of those calculated values? I mean, unless the product has an alarm mechanism that initiates when the temp exceeds either the MIN or MAX value, the feature is pointless, right? Oh well, at least it gives me a relatively accurate temperature reading. Three stars for functioning correctly as a thermometer.

Works good.
I use it to monitor the temp of my outdoor wood boiler that heats my 100 year old plus Victorian farm house. I know when I need to add firewood when the water temp gets below 120 degrees. It’s very reliable and accurate.

Almost amazing
Worked perfectly for about 3 days. Then the display started going out. I attempted to return it; however, I no longer had the original packaging. So, I’m stuck with a temp probe that I can’t read.

使い易いですが、自立と磁石だけなので吸盤が付いて入れば水槽に付けられるかなって感じです!

Check the temp of my pool easily now. No more shock when I dive in
