This product is meant as a alternative for the best product on the market, by far, Xymogen’s FITFoodLEAN. Xymogen’s product mixes unbelievably easy and well and is loaded with vitamins and minerals. Nature’s Plus and NatureMAX BOOST are the only two alternative products that have comparable vitamin counts. NatureMAX BOOST is 2x more expensive per serving and FITFoodLEAN is 4x more expensive. Nature’s Plus is comparable and at a much lower cost and lots of flavors to choose from.This flavor is very good. Far better than vanilla and a little better than Cappuccino. Here is what I like about it: It mixes well. The other Nature’s Plus flavors become somewhat muddy when mixing. This one is naturally more chunky with cookie crumbs in it, and I suppose it changes the consistency enough to make it stir easier. Speaking of stirring, the directions say two not blend or over-stir. I have a battery operated hand mixer, and it whips the heck out of it. I have to say, it doesn’t hurt a thing to blend this mix. With the cookie crumbs, it doesn’t lose it’s slight chunkiness. I have been using the Spiru-tein line of replacement meal shakes for a couple of years now. I like them because they blend easily, taste really good and have an incredible amount of on-the-go nutrition I need. Out of the many flavors I have used in this line, this one in THE BEST! Okay, I’m admittedly a chocolate addict….but this flavor is over the top. If you are a fan like me of those famous chocolate cookies with the cream in the center, then you will love this. I also mix this with coconut milk (refrigerated milk carton types) and lots of ice at night now to make anNature’s Plus – Spiru-Tein Cookies & Cream, 2.3 lb powder ice cream like “dessert”, as I’ve removed sugar products in an effort to eat more cleanly and achieve weight loss. I really love that this is made with ingredients like bee pollen and bromelain! I can’t handle shake mixes with whey, so Spiru-tein has been my go-to. Ordering another can right now….

I was first introduced to this in my teens by an older sibling. I was looking for a breakfast replacement as I don’t always have the time to eat in the morning as I would like. The directions for use say not to use a blender, but this was how my sister always did it. I never really understood why until I first received in the mail.Initially, I used water and an immersion mixer to blend it. When I tried it, it tasted like watered-down cookies and cream. I was somewhat surprised, but as the instructions stated to use milk, I figured I try it with milk next time.The second time around I decided to follow the directions. I mixed the ingredients as directed, “shake well”. When I tried it, I realized how hard it is for this powder to mix completely once it hits wet ingredients. I did use water this time, but I was nearly disgusted at how clumpy it was. Drinking it, I still would get clumps of powder.I had not consumed the product for a few weeks, because I had made several attempts to follow the directions with modifications of methods in mixing: using a spoon, putting the ingredients in a bottle and using it as a shake weight, I still used the blender, but I was trying not to make it taste watery without adding more than the recommend scoop for 1 serving. I tried it with only water, soymilk, and milk.Finally, I tried to a new method of mixing 4oz of water + 4oz of either milk, heavy cream, or soymilk + 1 scoop of Spirutein.I use my immersion mixer and pulsated the mix until it is fully combined and smooth. This was by far the best result. And yes, this truly does taste better when you use cold items.A word of advise, clean the items used right away! This mixture can leave quite a chore for you if you leave it to dry in your cup.

Best tasting vegan protein shake
I’ve been using Spirutein for many years and I have to say it’s the best tasting standalone vegan protein powder. With other brands, there is a distinctly metallic stevia aftertaste and sometimes it is not palatable unless mixed with something else. Spirutein is good just with some nondairy milk and mixes very easily. It tastes like a treat but is nutritionally balanced. I do wish it had a bit less sugar, but it doesn’t have very much and the taste is very good. One thing I recommend for a meal replacement if shares aren’t for you all the time is mixing it with a bit of soy yogurt–a delicious protein-rich treat.

Too sweet
I normally have liked the Spirutein shakes that I’ve tried…but this one is really overly sweet. I can get thru it, so I don’t waste it, but I wouldn’t buy this flavor again. Seems a lot more thick to me too…..just not a good flavor for me.

Blends well!
So happy after trying my first sip. I used my magic bullet blender which uses the perfect amount of water for this recipe. All I did was use the one scoop of cookies and cream powder with the max amount in my magic bullet. It came out perfect better than a starbucks Frappuccino. I put it in the freezer to get it cold. Maybe I’ll add whipped cream on top after.
