There are many other brands whose product smells and tastes like ocean, but not this one. There are a lot of uses for it but my favorite is blending it with almond milk.I make Smurf Milk several times a week. Not only is it super delicious, it’s very healthy. I use about eight ounces of homemade almond milk (I use their Ellie’s Best nut milk bag which makes it quick and easy), add 1 tsp of the blue spirulina, 1 tsp of the Ellie’s Vital 7 mushroom extract powder, a few shakes of cinnamon, and one pitted date. I put it all in the blender and seconds later I am enjoy a healthy, delicious drink. No odor No taste
Well it really is a dark blue in color and has absolutely no taste to it. I use 1 teaspoon in a small bowl of applesauce and if you want to you could split it up and use 1/2 teaspoon 2 x a day. I only use this product 2-3 times a week. I will order more when I run out. This product is VERY FINE milled, it’s just like face powder so it mixes very well in food or just sprinkle it on top of any food you are eating. If you want to look up the name spirulina, it is a Spanish word not English.

I received this product yesterday (Monday, August 5), and finally use it this morning(Tuesday, August 6) to make a banana berry smoothie. Once I opened the package, I was mesmerized by the vibrant blue color. The main reason to try the blue Spirulina is for my health. The product blended well to me. No sandy or powdery taste. Only thing I could criticize is the size could be larger.

Nice product and a little goes a long way. I have a form next to the picture to reference the size of bag. I use this for my shakes each morning and have enjoyed it. A quarter teaspoon is plenty for the blue effect. This can be somewhat messy since this is a powder. When I first used it and tried squeezing the excess air out of the bag, it backfired on me and went everywhere. It is all natural so I was able to clean it up just fine, but was not expecting that. This morning a transferred the powder to an airtight container to avoid this in the future.
