Good once you get it installed right
This cupholder phone mount is fairly nice once you get it installed securely in your vehicle cup holder…but if you rely on the instructions printed on the box you will probably have a hard time doing that. This is one of those products that put instructions on the Amazon sales page that aren’t included anywhere with the product itself which is an annoying but increasingly common practice. The incomplete instructions that are printed on the box are more likely to cause unnecessary confusion than be useful.When you open this up there are three parts–the cupholder base, the phone cradle, and a plastic bag containing 4 rubber extenders. Anyone who has ever used a car-mount phone cradle will recognize how the cradle attaches to the arm of the base. The challenge if you aren’t working from the online Amazon Product Page is getting the whole unit nestled securely inside your vehicle cupholder because the part about the base rotating to extend the legs (which is what you slide the rubber extenders onto) is missing from the instructions on the box. The installation instructions printed on the box in English are missing that one crucial element so I wasted about 10 minutes trying to get this installed thinking that the rubber pad extenders were meant to be loose and held in place with pressure between this product and the car’s cup holder which didn’t work–the base of the mount would always slide around a bit, and the rubber pads would slip.An intelligent person would probably use their smartphone to pull up the product page on Amazon but due to my age and an underlying medical issue my days of being genuinely intelligent are behind me so it took me a little while to discover that twisting the bottom while holding the ring directly above it in place so it doesn’t also turn makes extenders built into the base expand. After I found that (which should have been mentioned on the box) it only took me a couple of minutes to get this fit securely in the vehicle cup holder and ready for use.Once installed the arm angle, arm length, and angle of the phone cradle can be separately adjusted and locked into place. Given that this is being installed inside a vehicle cup holder I can’t picture a scenario where you wouldn’t automatically need to extend the arm to its maximum length to be able to see and interact with your smartphone. The cradle has two buttons to open the grip arms which you squeeze to keep your phone locked. That part is pretty standard.Initially, I didn’t think the arm was long enough to work with a large cup in the holder but it turned out I was wrong–the largest big-gulp style cup fit without blocking the bottom of the phone (although just barely) and the cup could be easily removed and returned without knocking against the phone cradle after the arm and cradle were both adjusted at an optimum angle.The whole unit doesn’t feel super sturdy but I have been using it for several weeks driving an average of over 100 miles per day and also on two 300-mile plus weekend trips and so far it has held up surprisingly well. I tested the cradle with several different phone models and it was able to hold the largest phablet I had access to securely–but if you own a massively oversized Ultra phablet model you may want to double-check the cradle dimensions on the product page before ordering.Final Verdict: The instructions on the product box are bad and this doesn’t feel super sturdy but priced around $25 it’s definitely worth the money. I have never used this type of phone cradle but if you can get one with better build quality for $40-$50 it may be worth spending the extra dough.

It’s nice but a bit clunky
Kinda lose in cupholder, it came with extensions for a tighter fit but I didn’t try it, I just let it be. Phone holder is impressive, great cup holder also, although, because the cup holder is elevated, a great chance for liquid to spill on your expensive clothes. In conclusion, it’s clunky but helpful. I use it regularly. The cell phone holder is the best part.

Haven’t actually had a cup in the cup holder part yet, but I love this thing already. And it’s big. But in my truck it makes my phone look small. It’s easy to mount in the cupholder with a twist of a ring and is very secure. The phone mounts easy as well, and a squeeze of a couple buttons and your phone is free.This thing is super adjustable so you can set it up however you need. I used to use a cupholder tablet mount, but the tablet was overkill for my side business, and not to mention if I needed the cupholder I had to take the mount out anyway, so it’s nice to have that cupholder back again.This thing is definitely worth the money if you want to keep your cupholder and have a phone mount at the same time. I’m glad I got this one over some others. And it just works!!!
