But as days turned to weeks, the crab’s relentless, repetitive tune began to grate on everyone’s nerves. loud, erratic, and chaotic BUT seemingly entertaining
I purchased this for my friend’s 7 month old baby after my friend mentioned wanting one. After purchasing it, I started seeing posts on my social media about this crab. I did see some people mentioned small pieces breaking off and overheating while charging. We haven’t experienced that with the one we purchased, but still something to consider. It does say 3+ on the box, but on social media I have seen it being used with young babies for tummy time and just general play.When we first set it out, it was pretty entertaining for the baby as well as my 3 and 5 year old kids. They all just sat and watched it/tried to catch it for a decent amount of time. My older kids obviously knew to be gentle with it upon catching it, but a baby wouldn’t understand and I could see how it could be easily broken once a younger child manages to catch it. It’s moves erratically, but is somewhat easy to catch.The other thing to note is that it plays very loud music the entire time that it’s on and there is not an option to lower to volume or turn the music up. So this is not the toy for parents who feel overwhelmed by constant noise.Also, if it flips over it’s just a wierd frenzy of little plastic legs kicking all over the place.It’s honestly a kind of odd toy, but it did seem to fufill its purpose of entertaining small children.

My baby enjoyed this for about 10 minutes. But it’s clearly an incredibly cheap toy, stopped working and wouldn’t charge with the included charging cable. I returned it for a replacement, and the new one would charge but the legs wouldn’t work after charging – just the loud, annoying music would play. And the return window is short and has closed. Definitely not worth the money or the hassle.
