Great value, but with minor drawbacks
I’ve been using this aquarium filter for a month or so now, and I’m overall very impressed with its performance. It does an incredible job of keeping my tank clean and clear. The water flow is strong and consistent, and the filter effectively removes most traces of debris and waste.One of the things I like most about this filter is its affordability. It’s one of the cheapest filters I’ve found, and it performs just as well as more expensive models (in my opinion). However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks that I’ve noticed.First, the filter can be a bit of a pain to clean. The filter cartridges are a bit fiddly to remove and replace, and they get clogged up quickly with debris. This means that I have to clean the filter more often than I’d like.Second, the filter can be a bit noisy. The motor makes a humming sound that can be noticeable, especially in a quiet room. However, I’ve found that the noise doesn’t bother me too much, and it’s a small price to pay for such effective filtration.Overall, I’m very happy with this aquarium filter. It’s a great value for the price, and it does an incredible job of keeping my tank clean. Works great… maybe too great
This thing cleans well but the force it expels o² until the tank is like a fire hose. My fish and frog like it, but the sheer force of it unearths my plant hides and blows them across the tank. It would be great if you could mount to side of tank and blow air upward, but you can’t because suction cups are on the back of the pump and nozzle doesn’t rotate a full 90⁰.Even submerged it makes quite a bit of noise compared to other filters I’ve tried.

VERY powerful & loud
This filter completely fine as a filter but the flow was way too powerful for my 55 gallon tank, my tetras were having trouble swimming and it was blowing my plants around. Also it’s LOUD it vibrates on the glass and I have found that a sponge filter is much more quiet and the flow is not as fast so it works much better in my case. So, it’s a good filter probably for a much larger tank than mine and for fish that need very strong water flow.

It looks impressive but it’s not I’m sending it back as soon as possible so They can’t use my money
Impeller stops constantly sending it back and I won’t upgrade again the old one is much better a problem with the impeller on these pumps Thought this looked good but I’m returning it. Through the manufacturer, the problem with your pumps are as followed. I should be an engineer or designer. I should be paid for this on the bottom of your impeller you have a Rod shaft, this fits into the bottom of your PLASTIC impeller looking at the bottom of the shaft now is a very small rubber nip cap. shaft makes it burn them all out causing a hole in the cap exposing the metal shift.This in turn causing all kinds of issues that I won’t go into hear you already know that there’s a problem with manufacturing on this. It’s so simple we’ve gone to the hardware stores, and we cannot find the cap replacement anywhere we have contacted you more than once looking for the RIGHT scree phone .twice buy MAIL .thought even no you did not contact me back. I hate to see you’re in business go down the tube for a penny part .Been so hard on everyone when it’s a matter of a 1. cent cap if that . so enclosing it would appreciate if you read this .for my reward that you will tell me where I could buy the caps.I have gifted these to so many family members plus plus I have three that have (NO CAPS) at all as they were Christmas gifts. We didn’t open them until after the 30 days. I was so happy to try them out looking at the inside after the noise thinking there was maybe paper in there or something noticed there was no caps too bad for me. I’m out the money. also, the new improved one that’s all black is junk . I didn’t like it at all. I much prefer the older model but no problems with any of it whatsoever other than it’s quite strong and my electric bill went up 30 bucks figure it out 25 W that’s a lot of power, which I appreciate it change the reading to three, but without the cap ,it’s useless all you’d have to do is send a couple caps extra and I’m sure it would run for years such a small manufacturing problem. It’s like owning a car without a key. Ps the black one only git’s dirt to the first bottom chamber, never going above the bottom one believe me I tried so as far as the black one I would give that out of zero

I love this filter! I don’t recommend it for a 10 gallon tank though. It will blow the fish out of the water! You can remove the bottom section of the filter to accommodate a small aquarium. Easy to clean filter medium. No expensive filters to buy. Very quiet.

If you’re thinking on buying this for a tank smaller than 60 Gallons I’d say don’t it’s much too powerful and you can simply get their smaller version 15w at 238GPH for that. The bubbles were a little too much than I expected even for my 100 gallon tank at minimum level. Fish don’t do well in tanks when there’s too much bubbles (over oxygenated) which can cause certain diseases in fish. However you don’t have to use the bubbles. For flow and filtration it’s perfect. Easy to get to the sponges without removing the pump. And it’s definitely quieter than I expected. Aesthetically it looks fantastic, plastic feels like quality and it’s solid.
