Eliminates butt odor from anal glands
Since I got my cats as 7 week olds, their butts started smelling at 12 weeks. It was always when they were petted and purring happily. It got so bad that one of them even dripped a spot of smelly butt juice. 🤢 I took them to the vet at 2 months to have their anal glands expressed (that last almost 2 months). Then when they were neutered at 6 months, their glands were again expressed. I used odor eliminators on furniture and washed bedding wherever they would smell up those areas from their butts. I mean, I could not discontinue providing love and care by petting them and letting them cuddle with me. They would grow to be less affectionate and less social. So, I dealt with this smelly butt issue for quite a while, which I thought was just a dog thing (my friend has labs that need their anal glands expressed once every 2 months). I probably spent a little over $200 to try to resolve the issue on them without a remedy in sight. I even tried changing up their diet, which was at first a high protein, no grain dry kibble with some actual chicken meat once in a while. Tried Nutri-Source dry kibble for sensitive tummies in kitties which although somewhat grain free had brown rice in there. I know what rice does to me on a long eating stance and was concerned my young cats would become overweight so I weaned them off that and back to their grain free dry kibble (now indoor adult food from the Basic Blue brand).Now onto this magical powder. I did my sleuthing again (they are at this time 9 months old), seeing what else was out there, hoping others had experienced what I am experiencing with my kitties and found a solution. I found this powder on Amazon. A person once told me that it could be they need more fiber. I had been giving them some fiber powder before for a while but it did nothing. So when I saw this powder, I wasn’t sure it would resolve their anal gland issues, but I was desperate to try. I gave them half of the amount instructed on the jar. It was easy to have one of them lap it up with a mix of low sodium chicken juice in a small saucer, but the other one was picky as ever and refused. So, I got creative, bought an inexpensive matcha whisk to break down the powder better in a small bowl to mix with the chicken juice. I then pour the contents in a kitty saucer and then add a small dollop (thumb size) of shredded chicken from a can. Has not once failed me and they both lap up the juice and then eat the shredded chicken. I have been doing this for almost 2 months and no longer have to deal with stinky butts. The stuff started working in less than a few days. I noticed after a month that they still are stinky free, even if I miss a day or two giving them this powder.I would recommend if when giving your cat the full half dose that you give them half of that half, if your cat still won’t drink up liquid and finely broken down powder (or if the powder is not looking as brown down and dissolved in liquid to do what I did and get a bamboo matcha whisk). I continued to give my cats half of a half and it is still enough to resolve their stinky butt issues. They will be a year old 3 weeks.

It’s been a game-changer for us, and I’m so relieved to see my cat comfortable and happy again. It’s definitely saved us both a lot of stress (and money!).
