I recently tried the 2 lb organic black sesame seeds and I’m actually quite happy with them. I bought them to experiment with some new recipes and I have noticed that they have an interesting flavor, a little stronger than the white ones, but nothing that cannot be adapted. One day, I made hummus with these seeds and the truth is that it gave it a special touch that I had not tried before. Although they are not the cheapest on the market, I think the quality and the fact that they are lab-tested give them a good value. Overall, I’d say it’s a good buy if you’re interested in experimenting with different flavors.

Black sesame seeds make a very tasty sourdough bread. I really like using this product in my baking. An order I placed came damaged and the interface thru Amazon to contact seller was blocked so I was very unhappy with my purchase. Also, it was showing up as nonreturnable. After I created a review, communication with seller was allowed and the situation was resolved. Not sure what happened but I am now a happy customer.

Great flavor and huge bag
This is a lot of black sesame seeds and I’m not sure how I’m going to finish it. But it’s really flavorful and it wasn’t very expensive. My only regret is not getting it pre toasted, since it’s hard to tell if the seeds are toasted without burning since they’re black.

Fresh and Tasty Black Sesame Seeds
Sesame seeds are not hard to come by at most of my local supermarkets, but a large bag of Black Sesame seeds require a 40 minute drive, a fight for parking in a small parking lot, and navigating one of the busiest Korean Supermarkets in San Jose. I was more than thrilled to find good Black Sesame Seeds available on Amazon. The Terrasoul Superfoods organic black sesame seeds arrived fresh, raw, and ready to use. The seeds were perfect to use when making Chinese Black Sesame Brittle and Chinese Sesame Cookies, and had a good nutty flavor to it. The seeds are sourced from India, Mexico, or Ethiopia – it’s a little disappointing not knowing exactly where these are sourced from, but these places seem to have better food regulations than China, so I’m all good. Overall, these sesame seeds were fresh and very tasty – I would definitely order these again.
