Works perfectly for online meetings

Small, so ‘ring-ness’ value is limited
One value of a ring light is that it conveniently lights from multiple ‘sources’ all in one fixture, one light, and the advantage of that is to soften shadows. This light is too small to do that well – it’s more like a single bulb. I put a scrim over it to help soften the light.Otherwise, it does a good job of providing a variety of brightness and color options, letting me match my daylight-balanced main video lights, or my warm desk lights.It is very light weight. The clamp mount works well, and the ball gimbal lets me ‘aim’ the light where I want to.I’ve been using it for a few years now, with no trouble.

I was nervous but am very happy with this purchase! The price for the difference in video conferencing quality is worth it!The assembly was quick, but it seemed too wobbly for me. I finally unscrewed the bottom part so I could properly screw on the light (the cord kept getting in the way before) and now it works perfectly. Connects via USB for power, and there is a cord button to adjust brightness and on/off switch.I highly recommend if you aren’t wanting to spend a ton, this product is worth it. I also brought a higher quality camera and this has drastically improved my conference quality.

Great lighting when I first received it. I loved the range of temperature and brightness. However, after a few years of extremely light use (less than 50hr), the dimming/brightness doesn’t adjust anymore. Would prefer a slightly higher cost for a more reliable light.

UPDATE: Can’t plug into laptop for long-term use
UPDATE:The first version of this was definitely a failure, but after reading a little more online, realized you can’t plug into a laptop USB. This must be plugged into a docking station or some other higher power source. Once I did that, it continues to function.I liked this light for the simplicity and the price. I wanted something to clip to my monitor for calls. Works great until it doesn’t. Just like the previous one I purchased, it started to fail after a few months. You turn it on and it only stays on for a few seconds. Then, once you can get it to stays, it turns off unexpectedly. Finally, it just stops working altogether. Won’t be purchasing this brand/style again as it’s beginning to add up. Will search for a less generic, more reputable brand next time.
