The shoes are very nice to look at when they are on your feet, but they are def not extra wide. Or maybe their extra wide isn’t the same as a new balance extra wide.

The ASICS Men’s Gel-Venture 10 is a reliable workhorse for beginners, casual trail runners, or hikers who don’t need top-tier tech. It excels at delivering comfort and grip on mellow terrain, all while keeping your wallet happy. If you’re chasing speed, tackling nasty trails, or need waterproofing, look elsewhere (e.g., ASICS Gel-Trabuco or a Gore-Tex model). But for a do-it-all shoe that handles light adventures and doubles as a daily driver, it’s a steal. I’d give it a 4.1 out of 5—points off for its tame ride and niche limitations, but it’s a trusty companion for the price.
