Nice Large Size
This is a nice large pad that works well for repositioning. The stitching is done very well and I feel the handles will last. We need this for a gentlemen who spends most of his days (and many nights) in a recliner chair. He tends to slide down while sitting up, so when he reclines he’s “hunched.” The top straps are wonderful for this and the mat is a perfect size to tuck under a folded top sheet. The fact that it is waterproof is a nice bonus. The only thing that I would change would be the flip in the handles. They are twisted when sewn on so that you can grab flat. I would prefer that they be stiched without this flip. Any loop will do for grasping, but a flip in the handle means it doesn’t lay down flat when not in use. Other than that I think this is a great mat.

Useful tool for my caregiver “tool box”
I have fortunately only needed to use this once, but very glad to have added it to my caregiver “tool box.” I am living with my parents as their caregiver and while they are still mostly self-sufficient, there are times when they can’t get up, when they can’t move in their bed, etc. I wanted to see if this might be a useful option to have for times when I cannot help on my own. This positioning pad came in handy recently when my parent fell (or rather slid to the floor) and could not sit up. I was able to position this on the floor and have my parent roll over onto it, then I used the handles to pull my parent to a seated position. My parent has shoulder issues so pulling by the arms is not possible. This positioning pad helped me avoid straining my back or injuring my loved one. It was very easy to use. I love that it is machine washable, and also love that it has multiple handles around the pad for more versatile use. The size is perfect for my needs and can be folded up for easy storage. The price is good for the quality. The next time my other parent cannot move to the middle of the bed for a more secure positioning, I will be pulling this out!

Padded and waterproof
I already had a transfer sheet for repositioning a bedbound patient, the typical nylon style that is pretty thin (but functional). There’s no question that this one is better! First, the extra padding (they call it elastic in the description; feels like a thin foam layer) makes this a much more comfortable maneuvering tool for the patient, helping slide her over bumps or wrinkles in the mattress or chairs and prevent bruising from minor bounces when going from one chair to another. Second, this one’s wipably waterproof, apart from the repp-weave nylon webbing straps. My old nylon transfer sheet has stains in it because it’s only water resistant, so hopefully this one will be more impervious. It certainly feels more waterproof! And that means it won’t have to go through the laundry machines as often, too. Hot laundry cycles are hard on these things, so if you can reduce the frequency without sacrificing sanitation, that’s a good thing in my book.This sheet is hefty, with well laid out straps reaching all the way across the 40 inch direction. They’re strong and stitched thoroughly along their edges to prevent gapping. There’s a carry/storage bag included, too–a drawstring bag that can hang on the back of a wheelchair and travel with the patient, ready to lay out on the bed before helping them lie down on it. The blue color with black trim theme from the transfer sheet continues onto the drawstring bag, too. Nice set, easy to store and deploy when needed, and strong enough for almost any human patient.

Great Tool for Moving People
I tried this out by lifting my family membe(about 165 lbs) laying on it and had him try lifting me(about 185 lbs) laying on this and to see if the handles could handle our both our weights and it seems to have very sturdy handles and the material also makes sliding someone lighter on a bed much easier. I am very pleased with this product and would recommend this to anyone who might need it in order to move a family member around.
