Since the Echo Spot in my bathroom was constantly losing the internet connection and had to be restarted, I decided to replace it with the Show 5 on my desk and buy this new version of the Show 5 for my desk.Admittedly, I don’t use all of the available options since I don’t need them. When I watch Prime Video it is on my TV, but you can watch movies on this device if you want to. You can connect with video calling if the people you want to connect to have the Alexa app or an Echo device with a screen. I, personally, don’t know anyone that has these things that I would want to connect to. You can control compatible smart devices if you have them. I do use smart devices, but they are not Alexa enabled and controlled by other apps.The most dramatic difference for me is the color contrast and vivid colors of the screen – they are incredible. This version stays connected to the internet more consistently than the previous version and verbal response is much better. Although I have speakers for the older Show 5 I put in my bathroom, this newer version really doesn’t need them unless you want booming sound. The base and quality of the sound is a huge improvement.Even though I don’t use all of the available options for this Show 5, I do love the screen and sound quality, but the other options are available if you want to use them.I hope this review was helpful for you. I will update this review if my opinion changes.

Great addition to our home
This is a small screen but we love it we can use it with our ring cameras and play movies and music easily on it. It’s easy to use and has good picture quality and plays music loud for how small it is. It’s right next to our router so it’s very quick with notifications and playing music and videos

Good overall
We bought this echo at an upgrade for our old one. I has a nice clear screen. I love that is displays the weather and time on the screen. The speaker is really nice and sounds better than the old one. Alexa works good for thr most part, but it doesn’t always play music when I ask it to and then I have to connect to Bluetooth to play songs. Overall, it’s a good quality product with a few hiccups.

Nice little unit very durable worth the price
Any device or anything is always going to guaranteed get a beating for me eventually not intentionally of course but apparently pretty rough with stuff now Alexa and I have been together now for I’m not quite sure how to help you with that see anyway she has worked flawlessly do all kinds of stuff with her I mean there’s so much stuff on there that she can do that I don’t need her to do so but what I do need her to do she does very well like I’ve got some smart plugs and other stuff so and it all works fine and yes he’s and she’s taking a lick and she’s taking a beating she’s taking some falls and some shots yeah she just keeps on working perfect screen is still immaculate i’m not sure how that happened but yeah I would definitely if you just need a little device like this but it’s kind of screening and you can put your photos up there or whatever you want it’s pretty cool and I know she listens to everything and then the nsa is all but whatever but you know what they already know where I am and they already know how I feel about them so secrets I make sure to tell them where to go at least once a day

So far so good.
I updated from the 2nd gen and 3rd gen Echo dots to pick up this. I am glad I did because now I can ask her to show me any of my blank cameras and it puts them on the screen or I could shuffle through them and make sure the property is safe. I did go out and buy a stand for this and it works pretty well but if you lean it Forward too much or backwards too much it does get a little unstable. That is not the fault of the unit that is strictly on the stand. I will upgrade to a larger screen unit more than likely on this year’s Christmas sale pricing for Black Friday the screen size is small but the picture quality is good. I like that you can shut off the camera and the speaker to have a little bit more privacy. It does seem to have a little bit less responsiveness than the echo Dot, however she still does understand you and she does give you the information that you’ve requested. All in all I think it was a good upgrade and with your trade in at the moment you get 20% off of the item when you trade an item in. I believe you only get that one time so look around and make sure you’re buying the right size and model before you click that button.

Upgraded from a regular echo to this in kitchen. Love it, especially having visual reminders of any timers set, being able to watch movies etc. only downside is no Netflix.
