Bought this for my niece who loves unicorns and Candyland. Big success for me. The game is not as sturdy or as large as the original Candyland. But overall, she loved it so it was worth the price for me.

Cute, but the board should be larger
Bought for my 5yr old daughters birthday. She loves unicorns and board games so this was perfect. I have to say compared to the standard version I have 2 complaints.1. This version uses cards, not a spinner. When I don’t play with my kids this is fine. However, giving a 5,3 and 2yr old tiny flimsy cards is a terrible idea. I took the spinner from our old game and will use that when I play with them.2. The base for the “unicorns” are too big for the colored squares. Especially on the turns of the path, sometimes the white base will cover two whole squares and it’s too easy for my kids to forget what color they were on.The pro is that the bases are large enough that the characters stay upright, even with a 2yr old playing. The board should just be a bit larger to accommodate the wide bases imo.

This is a good quality product. Easy to set up, and love that the game comes with a glitter path and a 3D castle. I got it for my 3yo niece, who loved those features. Only complaint is that, as others have mentioned, the unicorn players are a bit bigger than the square spaces, which makes it a bit awkward, especially when multiple unicorns are in one area. However, it didn’t impact the game too much. You also draw from a deck of cards to make your move, and the cards are pretty small for adult hands who might also be playing alongside the little ones. Overall, lots of fun!

I like that this version uses cards. My son has both this version and the regular and they offer fairly different expeirences. The board art is really cute and the sparkles are attractive to the littles. The only negative is that the peices are bigger than the squares.
