I love this stuff!
When it arrive and I opened it up, I was real skeptical of the vacuum packed orange looking powder and if I wasted my money when I really need this for my doggie right now! I read the instructions and took a couple of tsps and added a bit of water until it looked about the right consistency and then took a taste and I couldn’t beleive it, tasted great just like pumpkin. This will be much easier to work with to add to my dogs food and not have it going bad before I can use up a can of it. I put in another zip lock bag and of course it will not last for ever once opened but a lot longer than an opened can that needs refrigeration and it’s freshly made each time too. Additionally it’s concentrated, so it will make a lot of pumpkin but as much as I need at one time. I coated some chicken with it. Be sure to read up on how much to give your dog or cat based on size etc that’s also important too.

Not quite as good as Organic Pumpkin but does work okay
My 11 year old Pomchi had pooping issues after his dietary change to heart friendly food so I bought organic pumpkin to help him not have an upset stomach, but it would only keep for a week in the fridgerator. I bought the dehydrated pumpkin so I would only use as little as I needed every day (1/2 teaspoon twice a day) without throwing the leftover pumpkin away. It does work okay but seems to take a little longer to help him go to the bathroom normally than the organic pumpkin in a can. He does like it so I’ll keep using it as it is a lot less wasteful than canned pumpkin.

Worked well for traveling with our dogs
Our vet prescribed a spoonful of pumpkin with each of our dogs’ meals to help with digestion issues. When I had trouble finding the usual canned pumpkin in the stores last month, I ordered this to see if it would work. It was a great find for traveling with the dogs — much lighter and space efficient than canned pumpkin and easy to reconstitute with a little bit of water. I can’t speak to how it tasted, but the dogs licked it up happily. I certainly recommend it for that purpose. Regarding some of the reviews about it being hard-packed, that’s just because it was vacuum-sealed. Once the inner pouch is opened, it’s pretty easy to break up and get a spoonful when we need it; not a problem at all.

Product is hard as stone and unusable- don’t waste your money
It got one star only because it is required to post a review. I ordered this because I’d used it before with my IBD kitty. He is having a flare up and the pumpkin helps settle it down. I thought all would be fine since it was a 1 day delivery. Nope. When you cut into the vacuum bag, the powder should just fall loosely. Today, the product I received today is as hard as a rock. I banged it on granite and couldn’t even chip it. It is completely unusable. I am trying to get a refund. Will be happy to send this trash back to the seller – as long as they pay for return shipping. The Amazon chatbot told me it is not eligible for refund or return. I would say DO NOT BUY THIS. It is a ripoff

I normally like this stuff other than the fact that it’s more expensive than other brands.This time it came hard as a rock with no chance of breaking it down to flake. I was refunded but am now not sure if I want to buy it again.

I’m so happy that my recent pumpkin order was back to the original loose fluffy product instead of being a hard compressed brick. I was preparing to chop it up with my chef knife, but the pumpkin was loose in the package and could poured right out into my glass storage container — yahoo!!!

Dog loved it
My dog is big on pumpkin in her morning food… I got this because, unlike a can, you don’t have to refrigerate it. We were moving and I knew we would be without the new fridge for a bit ( mini fridge was gonna be packed!) so I got this… this would be a great option for camping or hiking with your pet too because it’s incredibly light weight, does not take up much room and easy to rehydrate ( I did use a bit more water than recommended just because I wanted it a bit more gravy like rather than thick) I plan to buy more to keep on hand for emergency’s. Dog gobbled it up.
