Large face, durable and comfortable to wear
I prefer a larger case/face watch and in my old age wanted something easier to read after eye surgery. I have a small collection of mid grade watches, but most have intricate dials that have become hard to read at a glance without my “readers”. I’m 71+ and those of you who’ve had cataract surgery know what I mean. You younger folks – your time is coming! But this watch, for the money is an awesome buy. The large case diameter is what I look for first. This one measures 50.34mm across the widest points on the rotating bezel. The high contrast yet simple numbers on the face give me what I need to see the time at a glance without my “cheaters.” I’m not sure I’m sold on the woven/velcro backed strap, but it’s not uncomfortable and is easy to adjust. I personally hate the silicone and rubber straps many watch makers are telling the market they “must have.” But those cheap straps help keep overall costs down so they can charge less. So personally, I’ll probably replace it with either a leather or stainless steel one. This watch has 20mm lug width so any band I’d replace it with will be kind of narrow. But it’s easy to do and there are 100’s of options to choose from. This watch is part of the “MRW-210H” line which comes in several other colors and styles, but has the same specs. One thing I had to laugh at was the other reviewers who said they sent their watches back because in trying to set the “day/date” window, some strange words popped up instead of the MON, TUE, WED, etc. they expected. If they had slowly continued to turn the dial, the “English” MON, TUE, WED, etc. would have appeared. Take your time and it’s very simple to set. Casio sells watches world wide and they are smart enough to have put the days in several languages on each watch. One tip I can give, when setting the time, always turn the dial several times and go past 12 o’clock. If the DATE changes, you went past midnight. If the date stays the same, you only went past NOON. So set your time according to whether you are actually past noon or before noon in your day. This will save you a LOT of frustration when you get up the next day, thinking you have your day and date set properly, and find your date has advanced ahead one day on you.Casio first started building watches in the 1970’s, and most stores here in the US carry only the low price units. But Casio also has a top-of-the-line brand called “Edifice” which generally average in the $200 to $500 range. The Edifice division was a major sponsor in Formula One auto racing for many years, backing Sebastion Vettel for several. I bought my first one in 2010 and now have 6 of them. They are still my most durable, favorite watches in my small collection. I have Nautica, Citizen, Invicta, Daniel Steiger, and several others that don’t live in my “every day” box. Several of my Casio Edifice watches get worn at least once a week.I do recommend this watch highly if this is the size and style you prefer. There are several others I’ve noticed in the “MRW-200H”collection that are slightly smaller in diameter, if that’s what you’d like. Either way, Casio is a great value in an every day wristwatch.

Wow, great cheap watch!!!
I own many Casio Protrek, climber line and divers. For the price of this watch I’m shocked at the value you get for the low price. Not sure why people complain about the band but I find it excellent and very comfortable. I have had other bands this style that are very uncomfortable. This is one of the most comfortable and functional bands I have ever seen that’s included with a watch. It keeps time correctly, the date/day is easy to read as well as the big big face and markers. The second hand lands perfectly on the markers. The bidirectional bezel turns very smoothly and firm. Not sure how anyone could complain about this watch. Can’t be beat for the price. Another Casio cheapy that’s good is the Casio AE1500WH. Also the Armitron 40/8254BLK or 40/8377DGN.

53 mm watch face…keeps good time…strap broke after 4 years, throw it away?
Nice watch. Large enough face at 53 mm that it doesn’t look like a unisex watch AND you can read the time. Could have had a greater contrast between the face background & the numbers for easier reading of the time. However, I don’t dive and maybe it’s easier to read under water. LOL. But, after 4 years the strap cracked across the strap about half way down one of the lengths and it seems like a replacement strap from Casio costs as much as the same watch costs new. I’ve tried finding a replacement generic brand strap, however, based on my measurements & the dimensions on generic brands they don’t seem to jive. So, I’ll just use it as a pocket watch for work because that is what I have been using this watch for anyway.

Value for Money!
To get a watch that has the heritage of Casio, 100 meter of WR, a bidirectional bezel, and Day Date function at $26 is unprecedented. Very comfortable and super legible.Annoying things:- Plexiglass for the crystal (not all big deal at $26)- Size. 55 lug to lug is large, but it wears smaller. I have a 6.5″ wrist for reference in the photo.Cons- Really wish the numerals were lumed. That’s a big bummer.- Crown is borderline useless as it is so slick it’s tough to set date and time.

It’s amazing in real
I received the product, done the unboxing and the watch is really cool. From the dial width, the length, the fit on the wrist, the appearance of the watch, the features with the price range etc are all some how justified. This one is worth the money spent. And great work by Amazon and logistic partners to deliver the product as per the commitment.

Easy to read with out glasses.Would have liked a clasp-like metallic bracelet instead of the plastic bracelet.Still, I feel I got my money’s worth.

Great watch, first thing I did was get rid of the factory strap, I have side by side for comparison with the baby brother and the big brother Casio’s. Very easy to read, if you find the stock strap too stiff replace it. For the price and what you get it’s a steal to add to your collection, replace the battery every two yrs roughly. No need to wind up, just wear and forget 🙂
