Brush is comforting, steam scares
The brush is solidly built and the bristles have large enough ball tips that the cats enjoy the way it feels…until I try to run the steam! Then they fly away in fear. Even if I start the steam on the way over to them without letting them see the steam, they seem to hear the almost discernable, high-pitched sound it makes. Even if I fill with hot water, the steam feels cool. It’s winter, so maybe when they’re hot in summer, they’ll feel differently about it.Like 99% of all steam brushes, the steam comes out of just one 1/4″ hole. The hole on this is located where the brush passes through the fur last, which is illogical. I wish it had a low setting; something less concentrated and visible.The included bottle of shampoo is ample and smells nice. My cats like it too. I put just a few drops of it in the water. The small bottle for mixing with water and filling has a screw-on cap over the screw-on tip, just like the shampoo bottle. With that removed, nothing came out when I tried to fill the brush reservoir. I hammered into the tip hole with an awl to open it up and widen it, and it still just disperses drops at a time, even if I squeeze the bottle. Weird.This being USB-C rechargeable is much more convenient than batteries or a cord. The light goes from red to green while charging but is very dim, so must be in a dark location to see the light color.The full-size jar of ear wipes is all chemicals. I prefer more natural ingredients i.e. aloe, coconut oil etc., and frankly, don’t even need this in this kit.Decent brush and shampoo but the $27 price could be a bit lower.

Claims Gentle Fur Removal for Cats – But My Cats Don’t Like It.
Vine is not free. My cost is time for an honest review & photos plus 30 percent of full value.We have 3 cat fur babies. Shedding starts in the early Spring and doesn’t seem to end until Christmas when the South Texas weather finally cools down. The brush we have Works well, but this one was larger and offered additional features. This brush has rubber ball tips on the end of the wires so it can’t scratch. In addition it can create a fine cool mist (not steam) to help reduce static and dander dust. The wires retract with a push of a button leaving the fur behind and easy to collect. Because cats lick their fur I will not be using any additives to the spray system besides highly purified reverse osmosis water.After trying this brush on all 3 of our cats, I found it did Not do as good a job removing the fine fur undercoat as my current brush because I think the wires are too widely spaced. Also none of my cats would hold still for this brush, I believe, because the wires penetrated down to the cats skin which despite the soft ball tips, they did not like. The push-button fur removal worked well. I did not use the fine mist feature. For me, this item is a ‘Maybe’. However, I will give it a try on my daughters dogs And depending on the result may post an update.

More Mist Than Steam, But Works Well For Both Cats and Dogs
I generally like this brush, and–more importantly–so do both dogs and our cat. As a brush alone, the bristles are effective without causing pain, and even our short-haired dogs seem to enjoy the sensation of the bristles going through their fur and gently massaging their skin. The “steam” function would more accurately be described as “mist”, as there is no heating mechanism within the brush and the water releases at the same temperature as it was when the resevoir was filled. That is actually a plus for me, as I would be a little concerned if I couldn’t control the water temp myself. As it is, no members of our furry family are super-keen on getting wet, so this is not a feature I will be using unless it’s absolutely necessary, but I do appreciate the quality of the shampoo and that it requires no rinsing. The included eye wipes are a fantastic bonus for the dogs, and neither seems to mind them. The ejection button for the fur that collects on the brush is truly ingenious.Set-up and useage for this grooming tool is intuitive–a good thing, as the instruction sheet is completely and hilariously useless! The instructions on the outer box are accurate, however, so that’s a help. Construction-wise, the brush is made of plastic and doesn’t feel as though it will hold up for years on end, but neither does it seem to want to fall apart in the near-term. It’s a good choice, I think, for daily grooming and an implement I’m glad to add to my pet care kit. Recommended!

Quality Gadgetry, and Comprehensive Kit
I was expecting cheap construction with this one, but was pleasantly surprised out of the box. The brush is a bit larger than I’d imagined, but it isn’t unwieldy. Solid materials and design. The vaporizing function only works when inverted, but that’s a limitation of the tech, and not a problem in use. [small older cat; brief activation at medium close distance, then gentle brushing. He didn’t mind a bit, and enjoyed it.] The shampoo is a very generous size, and the scent is mild and pleasant; didn’t go for “mousse”, personally. You really only need a few drops into the chamber with some filtered water (nice inclusion of a squeeze bottle, though it is a bit ridgid). The instructions are rather vague or inscrutable, but it’s all pretty simple to figure out. The self-cleaning, hair ejector works surprisingly well. And the tipped bristles do the job without irritating. The eye wipes are durable and a great size/amount.I’m nitpicking where I can, but overall this is a really excellent set of care products. Only real issue was that my charging cable was kind of a dud. Didn’t make good contact or work upside down. Swapped it for another usb-c with zero problems. 4.5 stars for something that needs only minor tweaks to quality control and packaging. High recommend.
