Excellent
So far, this is an amazing purchase. I paired it with a M-206 face shield for woodworking purposes. Works well in all temps tests so far. Some have mentioned battery problems, but I have had none so far. I would recommend this for anyone who spends a lot of time with sawdust.

Lightweight but powerful PAPR
This is our 2nd 300 series PAPR. I bought the larger 600 for myself before I realized the 300 was an option and I have to say, the 300 is a lot more comfortable on your belt. We don’t need hours and hours of continuous use in our shop so the battery life is more than sufficient and it’s certainly nice to not carry around the bigger 600. Our requirements were solely filtering out particulates so this setup was a smoking deal for a PAPR to keep our new hires lungs clear of mica and other things floating around in the air in our shop. Since I had an extra helmet already he has the option of using the soft hood that came with this or going with the helmet later. At the time I purchased this it was half the price of some of the other options as well so certainly a good deal on required safety gear!

Do not buy here!
The brand new battery is totally flat. Can’t seem to return the product. Called 3m and they can’t help because this was bought through Amazon. And Amazon is in some broken loop about the return. Also the battery itself has a bad reputation. I would avoid all of it. Save yourself the headache and think of another option

My only complaint!
I am delighted with this product. The system is comfortable to wear all day if necessary. I am a woodworker needing protection from wood dust. This product is superb for this. My only complaint is the waist belt. It is junk! It will not stay tight and I have to keep adjusting it. I finally bought a tactical belt that works great. With the high quality of everything else about this system 3M should be embarrassed to use such a n inferior belt.

Pretty good hood system
It’s a pretty good system and it does what it supposed to do however the one reason I didn’t give it five stars was because the hose that enters the back just enters the back and stops My bigger more expensive unit the hose goes up above your head and then spreads out over the front of you so you can feel the air better and there’s no chance of getting plugged off. If you don’t have this one right it doesn’t pump much air You have to make sure that the hood is for lack of better terms puffed up.

A PAPR and Hood with APF 1,000 Protection Against Airborne SARS-Cov-2
On left is the TR-300+-ECK with S-433 hood. On the right is the TR-600 with S-655 hood. Having evolved from cloth mask, to half mask respirator, to full face respirator, we settled on PAPRs (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) as final protection. The TR-300+-ECK is the little sister of the TR line of PAPRs. It is optimized for the health care industry and least expensive of the Versaflow PAPRs. The only filter available for the TR-300 is 99.97% particulate filter. It is smaller, lighter, and has the smallest battery of its big brothers, TR-600 and TR-800 (explosive atmospheres). All S and M series hoods fit the TR-300. The S-433 and S-655 hoods provide APF 1,000. That is 100 times more protection than the N95 with APF of 10. Hoods without shrouds and exposed ears such as the S-133 and S-133B provide only a APF of 25!
